He also enjoyed vacationing in the Snowy Range in south eastern Wyoming and instilled the same enjoyment of the outdoors in his family. Henry was united in marriage to Lois June Winemiller on May 18, 1958 at the Sheridan Christian Church. Henry worked as a mechanic for Sur Gro Plant for many years.
In 1962 the family moved to Mesa, Arizona for four years. Frances earned her BA from Wichita State University and started her career as an elementary school librarian. Bill was born August 23, 1938 in Harrison County MO on the family farm. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tinkering on all kinds of things.
They lived on the family farm in Blockton, where they raised their three daughters: Loucinda, Kathleen and Lou Gene. Upon exiting the Army, he worked for various companies before retiring in 2003 from American Airlines where he worked as an aircraft mechanic.
Joyce was a Christian and an active member of the Grant City Baptist Church where she was always called upon when delicious home-made rolls and brownies were needed.
Joyce is survived by and will be truly missed by her children Karen (Jeff) Andrews, Kent Thompson, and Kathy (Steve) Mc Grew all of Grant City; grandchildren Kendall Kobbe, Katelyn (Mike) Frisch, Kyle Kobbe, Claire Andrews, and Tess Andrews; great grandchildren Camdain, Lucas, Bentley, Emmett, and Gracelyn Frisch.Her employment before retirement was with SSM Healthcare. Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the Miller Cemetery in Denver, Missouri. After serving a brief Air Force tour oversees, Lynden returned to Grant City and the two of them were united in marriage on November 11, 1955.Surviving are her sister, Peggy Drake (Jerold); cousin, Lu Emma Powanz Qwinn; nephew, Alex Drake (Katherine); niece, Victoria Drake (Mathew Peterson) and two cousins: Will Quinn (Amanda)and Daniel Quinn and the following named great-nephews and niece: Andrew Drake, William Drake, Drake Peterson and Cady Peterson. Memorial may be made to Denver Schoolhouse or Worth County Convalescent Center. During his service he traveled the world in submarines, retiring in 1974 after 22 years as a Chief Warrant Officer CWO3. After returning back to Worth County Joyce began working for the ASCS office in Grant City.
